Oral Maxillo Facial Surgery
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialized branch of surgery that focuses on the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of conditions affecting the mouth, jaw, face, and neck. This includes a wide range of issues such as impacted teeth, jaw misalignment, facial trauma, oral cancers, cleft lip and palate, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are trained to perform complex surgeries such as tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgeries (orthognathic surgery), reconstructive facial surgeries, and dental implants. They also manage conditions related to the salivary glands, infections, and congenital deformities.
